DJ Gripper

DJ and producer Gripper began collecting vinyl in the mid-70s and immediately became fascinated by the recording process and the collecting of records. His tape splicing skills led to early mixtapes for break dancers during the Electro years in the early 80s.
Fast-forward to 1986 and regular visits to Manchester’s Hacienda and parties around London during the mid-80s led to a love affair with hip hop, funk, disco and early house music and Gripper DJ’ing at local INVASION DANCE DEPARTMENT underground parties and club nights in his home town of Barrow-in-Furness, England.
